The reason why I love this Tattoo shop is that it's full of good, young artists. Nothing like new blood in any creative art form. Physically, It's a nice space, you'd have to climb a few flights of stairs to reach the shop at least four well spaced work stations that will be able to give you a tattoo of your choice. There are two Gimmelove tattoo shops and this is shop 1.
I chatted with shop owner, the really personable Baldwin during my visit to the shop (I was particularly impressed with his collection of Japanese Fudomyo figures). He enjoys working on Japanese style tattoos and has an impressive portfolio.
One artist that I feel needs to get the spotlight for a moment is a chap called Sean Chua who works out of Gimmlove shop 1. There were beautiful oil paintings and art work on the walls of the shop and when I was floored to find out that he created them. This guy is good. I took at his portfolio and I was really impressed with his talent. Not one that's big on conversation and prefers his art to speak for itself and it sure does. I'd highly recommend that people get work from this talented individual.
