Great massages at an affordable price!
This is definitely one of the better unisex neighborhood spas to get a massage at in Singapore. Service is friendly yet professional, massages are relaxing, and the masseuses do not engage in hard selling tactics. Although undoubtedly tiny in square footage, the rooms are clean and tastefully decorated in dark woods and warm tones which lends to a relaxing atmosphere.
Since the staff are mostly Filipino, there is no language barrier for English speakers, unlike many other places around. Most importantly, the masseuses are considerate of individual pressure/comfort levels, and do not attempt to make small talk during your treatment time unless you initiate conversation first. This all adds to a very pleasurable and satisfying experience.
They also have couple rooms, scrubs, facials, as well as frequent promotions on treatments!
A decent spa at a decent price - that's probably how I would sum up Spa Vintage. Don't expect some oasis of tranquility nestled within a garden. This place is decent enough with dark wood furniture and walls painted in warm hues for a characteristic (no-frills) Balinese feel. I pop by once every couple of months to get a body scrub for $48, the green tea one has an absolutely heavenly scent. If you have been to spas in Singapore, you would know that this is really quite a bargain. They also offer packages that give you extra value on top of what you have paid for so this would be a good choice if you are thinking of making a monthly trip.
Spa Vintage - OK I went here looking for an affordable no-frills spa to frequent. The massages are reasonably priced, the outlet is small but quaint and they have different offers every month (the website isn't as updated and extensive as what's on offer at their outlet).
They have two outlets with Binjai Park being slightly more central as opposed to Eng Kong Terrace (and therefore more crowded).
I've been twice now, and the first time I tried the Vintage Green Tea Delight for 2hours at $108, I figured it was pretty reasonable. I was pretty pleased with the massage, and the non-pushy way the receptionist offered the deal convinced me to sign up for the $500 spa package meant I was sold.
The package is straightforward and not attached with cumbersome deals - they simply top it up with $150 of spa treatments, so in essence, I'm saving money! (At least that's what I tell myself.)
I've been there one more time since and was just as pleased with the hot stone massage. I love good strong massages and the massage was just what my sore back needed.
