I came here on a weekday afternoon for a quick pick me up. Sometimes you just need to de-stress from work or people. The spa is located near the pool, next to the gym. The place does not look big. I think it only has a few treatment rooms which means it is not overcrowded with customers.
The place is dimly lit and the air is infused with lemongrass, instantly stilling the mind and prepping the body for what is to come. I had the back and scalp massage which was pretty good. I certainly felt like liquid at the end of the session and did not want to leave the bed. The therapist did not talk much other than asking what pressure I prefer in the beginning of the session (a plus) and was firm in her strokes. The rhythmic movements lulled me into a place where my mind could just wander and relax.
At the end of the session, I was served a cup of hot ginger tea at the reception area.
I generally prefer hotel spas as they usually do not hassle you about signing up for packages so it does make the experience enjoyable and relaxing. I will like to go back again for other treatments. They use Elemis products for their facial which is something I want to try. Also I think you may be able to use the day spa facilities (i.e. hotel pool, sauna, etc) if you book for certain treatments.
