I was waiting for my boyfriend to fetch me and found an hour to cut and color my hair. I randomly walked into this salon and a old lady came to attend to me. I was thrilled to find out that for under $50, I get to color my hair. I asked for a hair trim as well as coloring and the entire bill came to less than $50. The experience is quite enjoyable too as the old lady is jovial and friendly. I also overheard her serving another old lady customer in a really nice manner and noticed that she is gentle with her white hairs too. My hair looks well colored (chestnut) after the hour's treatment. Unbelievably, the color seem to last quite a few months. Will definitely patron Snip Avenue outlet again!
This is a review of Snip Avenue (hair salon) on Rochor Road.
When I first arrived in Singapore, I had not availed myself to a haircut in quite some time. I was walking around the neighborhood and saw a sign that said $3.98 for a haircut.
I decided "ok, i have to give that a try". So, i walked in.
They simply pointed to an empty chair. I sat down. In about ten to fifteen minutes, a guy came up and stood behind me. He sprayed my hair with a bottle. Then, like Taz (the Tasmanian devil from Warner Bro cartoons), he went to work. Scissors flew, hair flew and before I could say Tasmanian Devil, he was finished with my haircut.
Considering the cost and the speed, it really wasn't a bad haircut. It didn't grow out quite as nicely as some. But, it did the trick and if you want to save a buck or two, I say it is worth a go. At that cost, one could get a haircut every week and still come out ahead on money.
