Got my hair trimmed, and layered slightly. Generally satisfied with how my hair turned out.
What i enjoyed most was that they provide neck & shoulder massage (no additional price incurred) too and it was really comfortable. Almost fell asleep.
Decided to go for a scalp treatment too. Didn't quite catch what it was all about but the treatment was minty and cooling. they massage your scalp while doing it too. really helped me calm down and feel more relaxed after a hectic week.
Liked my overall experience despite a pretty old school/"traditional" interior. I'm guessing they didn't do much renovation to make to place mimic those high end salons. which i quite liked too! Will definitely come back here again.
I highly recommend Irene. She's professional, gives a great haircut, and a really nice, long neck and shoulder massage. I'm from Texas and I would say that she's given me the best haircut I've had in a long while. She cuts both men and women's hair.
Reasonable prices and a good atmosphere too.
Tucked in a corner of Upper East Coast Road is a cozy little nook of a salon that is surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Salon 916 may look like a place filled with gossiping aunties, but you would be surprised to know that many young people, local and expatriates, go there as well. Personally, I have a couple of friends who go to Salon 916 often for their services.
The salon is well known for its hair wash and head massage services. The prices are reasonable too. I have pretty long hair and a hair wash costs about $15. If you have short hair, you can get a 45-minute hair wash with shoulder and back massage for $12. After washing your hair or being massaged, you can head upstairs to pamper yourself with a manicure or pedicure. Klara does great haircuts, and her brother will do your nails upstairs.
