I rarely trust hairdressers whenever I have found one who is quite familiar with my hair. But since I moved to Singapore, getting a haircut is actually a basic need. So I was looking for the most popular hair salon in the country and Jean Yip keeps on popping up.
I went there without any expectation just so I woudn't be disappointed in the end. For almost $40 worth of service (shampoo-cut-dry), I can honestly say that it was worth it. I usually prefer gay hair dressers because based from experience, they tend to have gentle hands. So when I got a female hairdresser, it freaked me out because it never turned out good when a female hairdresser handles my hair. But like I said, no expectations. So I told her that I needed my rebonded roots cut out and needed a cut that will accommodate my wavy hair. The good thing about it is that, she definitely knew what she was doing. Aside from that, she did not go crazy with the cut.
Well, it turned out really good. She handled my hair pretty well and I think me and my crowning glory will be back for our next cutting session.
