Went for the digital perm with a pre and post-treatment, both using Shiseido products. The perm costs $150 regardless of length, and the treatment $60 (NRP $120, or so they say), so I paid $224.70 after GST. One of the more affordable digital perms plus treatments in SG I'd say, especially since they use reputable Japanese products. The whole process took around 4 hours.
My stylist, Chris, was amazingly attentive (he kept asking if I felt OK, if I was tired and if I wanted to go to the loo, lol!) and at every step, he made sure to show me the product he'll be using ("we use good products ok?") and to briefly explain their function. Excellent service!
Now, it's only to see how the haircut grows out and how Long the perm lasts. But all in all, it was a very good experience.
I deducted a star because a small portion of my hair ends were a little burnt by the perm. Can't really fault Chris because he was Super attentive, could be just a fluke.
Came here for a wash and blow.
First impression when seated was that my surrounding was not very clean.
There was hair on the table and I didnt know where to leave my bag without getting hair on it. It is inevitable for a hair salon but I have been to salons where the assistants will clean up the area after every cut.
Furthermore, I realized when I am home that I have hair stuck all over my knit sweater! Was pretty annoyed because of the pricks from the tiny hairs. Spent some time getting the hairs out before washing. I felt grossed out. I think the hair on my sweater came from the small towel which was used on my shoulders. I wonder if it was washed properly, or recycled from a previous customer. Cleanliness has to be improved on!
Wash and massage was good and shampoo smells good too. Blowdry done efficiently by 2 people to save time, and lasted 2 days.
Totally satisfied after rebonding and perming. Eventhough my hair was very dry and damaged, I was advised to have pre treatment for my hair prior to applying chemical. It took me 4 hours for the whole process and the result is over my expectation. After washing and doing only simple step to maintain the curl, my hair looks as beautifully as at being blown at salon.
Joe Huang is great at hair perm. Wanted to do rebonding initially. He recommended perm. It's been one week since my hair perm. It has been gd hair day since than. Fuss free. No regrets. I love my perm. Highly recommend his service.
First trial is two weeks ago was colouring and hair cut. it cost me $110 and $35, there i have voucher $20. I'm very satisfy for hairstylist JOE HUANG's suggest colour red and of course the hair cutting.
Yesterday I go treatment againd. Which is only $120 including hair treatment and 2 products promotion.
JOE offering to colour my hair again coz the colour red abit uneven ..
I can tell their service are good.
I had my perm last 18th Oct at Shaw Towers. I appreciate the good service and no hard selling to top up treatment. Sylvia did a great job doing my perm. She even cut my layers in a way where my curls will last longer. She said the last time I probably had my haircut, my hair volume was too heavy so that's why my curls stretched out faster. I wish I also knew the name of who assisted her with the shampooing, blowdrying, treatment. She was so sweet and accommodating as well. :) Whenever I feel worried about how my hair will turn out, Sylvia and the assistant patiently reassured me it will turn out great. :)
I had a perm + cut designed and done by Joe at Shaw Tower.. very satisfied with the results. Have received numerous compliments for it from family and friends. Thank you Joe!
Very like Joe Huang, he help me to find a confidence and make me to more beautiful than before.
Very reasonably price. $150 for a wash, cut and perm. I top up a $60 treatment. Stylist here do not have "multi customers", they rather turn down walk ins nicely :) I spent about 5hrs, my stylist Kenny is good at what he is doing and not pushy to sell their products.
I permed my hair here yesterday! You can read my review more depth here:http://plumhoo.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/digital-perm-at-act-point-salon.html
Original Blog article as follows:
Yesterday I finally got a chance to perm my hair! WOooooop. Do you know how long I have waited to come back to Asia for this?! After my poodle hair experience back in the UK, I vowed never to waste money on that back on home turf. >
I found the service there great. The stylists really did care about the quality of my hair and gave good recommendations about what styles would best suit me! FOr 150SGD it included a haircut and a digital perm. I thought it was a pretty good price considering a haircut itself in the UK would be at least 30! The service took a total of 4 hours. There is free wifi and many magazines to read so you definitely would not be bored! One of the stylists even offered to go out to help me buy lunch in the middle. Though I declined, it was such a nice gesture.
I am very happy with the overall result! My hairstylist is called Kent Chee. Definitely recommend him if you are interested in getting a perm. Note: I'm not sponsored in anyway. Just some advice for my fellow hair lovers. ^^

But first...lemme take a selfie
I forgot to take a before photo, oops! So after a little bit of rumaging, here is a 'before' photo taken a few weeks ago! You can really see how dry and lifeless my locks were.
Then my fairygodfather came in....
Work in progress! I enjoyed this auntie look a bit too much!
And the final result....*drumroll......
Yay. Happy days.
