awesome service. !
Anyways, yes I finally did my brows! I did the creative brows at Sophia Brow House and it looks sooo dark these days (itll fade off), and my asshole boyf laughs at me all day zz.
I mean its not that bad right?!?!?!?
Last Saturday I headed out to get my eyebrows done! Super duper sick of drawing my own eyebrows (since unlucky me was born without em) and I got them done at Sophia Brow House by a lady called Apple whom I think is really good. So if youre wondering how much I got it done for and where, there you go. Its about $300+, 400?
After : Super dark and thick eyebrows hahaha. I did 3D creative eyebrow, its different from eyebrow embroidery.
Just went to Sophia and had my brows touched up yesterday.
Paid $150.. basically its the same what she done for me 2 years back, just minus the lengthy draw and designing time.. took about 40 45 mins.
Cant wait for the redness to go down and the peeling to start..
I did the creative eyebrows about 2 years back and now paid $150 for the touch up. But its like doing it all over again.. just minus the designing
Best friend called and made an appointment for the both of us! Note: Do call and make an appointment before heading down! Weve always wanted to try this eyebrow embroidery since ages but weve no guts to go for it. Why? We are afraid itll look weird on us but still, we plucked out our courage and eventually went for the eyebrow embroidery on this very day! Hehe, its 5 minutes walk away from Bugis Junction anyway. Damn convenient and easy to find. You know theres this street whereby you can find alot of steamboat restaurants? Yeah, its located there! We chose the 3D creative eyebrows over the standard eyebrow embroidery.
3D creative eyebrow embroidery is a semi permanent technique using colour pigment drawn onto the skin giving you natural looking eyebrows. The technique used is natural feathering of hair like strokes creating a beautifully designed brow whereas standard normal eyebrow embroidery is something like a patch of black eyebrows tattoo? Something unnatural as compared to creative eyebrows. I wouldnt wanna risk my eyebrows by saving that money. Id rather pay more and go for the natural one! Total damages cost that day was..whooping $330(consist of 1 touch-up and 1 small bottle of the scar cream)! :/ You can look for LiJun if youre interested? Shes our beautician! Friendly and very professional lady. Oh, the lady boss Sophia was there too. Damn friendly lady as well! Stress-free environment. The whole process takes around an hour(or another 15mins)? A little bleeding is unavoidable during the process, but the pain is bearable or I can say I feel nothing at all?
PrincessG I did it at Sophia Brow House. $880 4D CE.
Though from afar not much diff with 3D CE, after observing pictures, I spotted differences that 4D really do look very natural when near. Its worth it but at the same time was thinking why must 4D be much much expensive than 3D?Double the price somemore. Lol.
Update: 18 Jul 2012
Hi Shinri, i actually requested for Sophia the ladyboss at Liang Seah St but she was overseas and they recommended another shifu with equivalent skills. Her name is Lijun, and she dont station there permanently. Only when got requests then she make a trip down.
If you look at my photos earlier, you can see strokes like real hair. For EE, theres no strokes but just one patch of colour across.
If you really want to 100% do either EE or CE, if you make an appointment to go down, what she will first do is to draw the eyebrows shape for you. I took about one hour to choose my eyebrow shape & whether to do EE or CE, just take your time lol. Lijun was very meticulous in drawing the shape & she drew different eyebrow shape on each eyebrow so that i can choose & compare. Shes pretty patient & I asked questions & she draw thicker, & erase some parts, when I wanted to see the difference & gives good advice. In order to make sure the eyebrows are level, shell ask me stand up, stand in front of mirror, stand facing light, face her, so that from all angles look ok. Haha. Then, shell put numbing cream while showing you real photos of her customers doing EE or CE so that you can decide. Of course theyll promote the most expensive 4D CE but really up to you & your budget to choose. She told no matter which I choose, shell do it nice nice for me. Of course theyll say that lar lol, they have to do it well since they got a reputation.
Hi babe, no worries abt the pain. I was worried too before I went for my ce. But to my surprise, I dun feel the pain at all cos they have applied the numbing cream. U wont feel painful even after the numbing effect. My ce was oso done by Sophia which I hv seen gd reviews abt her. Im v satisfied wif her skills too. Now.. Make up is a breeze which I dun hv to draw my eyebrow anymore. FYI, I hv not gone for my 1st touchup yet since then which was almost 3mths oredy
hi all, i hv done my CE with Sophia too which I got the recommendations from here and pretty satisfied with the results with not too much of pain. I had went for the free touch up after 1 year. Overall rating is good. But during my last visit, heard from Sophia that the price will be increased due to the overwhelming response and everyone insist on Sophia to do for them. According to her, her staffs skills are equally good which the price will be cheaper.
I usually have my eyebrow embroidery done up at a salon name sophias brow house which is highly raved in a forum name flowerpod. it is very cheap. sgd$178 with a free facial, free touch up and a free eyebrow cream to be applied after the embroidery is done. Im very satisfied with the service there though the staffs are rather pushy. sophia herself is ok. The eyebrow embroidery is not painful at all as they actually put some cream to numb the brows before they start with the embroidery process. the first time I did my eyebrow embroidery was at another place, they didnt apply anything for me before starting the embroidery n it was a super painful n unbearable process but YET i went back to the same place for 1 touch up again since i know no other place at that time and the worse thing was.. the touch up tat time wasnt free! so I paid to get myself pain hehe. wats worsethe shape is terrible! everyone said i look like a mosquito! lol. it was unbalance and too arch.. a very bad experience.. so after my brows had faded, I decided to try sophias brow house n i like my brows alot better! (looked a bit thick at first but very natural after it has faded. dont really like too thin brows)! painless experience is great too! BUT one thing tat is not very good is I felt tat the brow colour is a bit light after it peeled.. maybe thats y its better go back for a touch up again before i fly back to japan but I usually do not have enough time for it
Immediately after the embroidery
This is after peeled (about 4 days later)
Somehow I felt I look much better before the eyebrow peel though it does looks a little dark.. but after it has peeled off, it seemed a tad too light.. sometimes im wondering if i should draw myself (self touchup)
Few years back, sophia brow house was situated in Marine Parade Central (the shop that i went for the first time). Then, they opened a 2nd shop at bugis so i went there for touchup the last time i went back to singapore. Im glad that there is no expiry date to my touchups since i only go back to singapore like once every 1-2 years.. hehe. Recently, i heard that they opened a 3rd shop! seems like business is good huh lol.
